I must have been a good girl this week!

Thursday at work is Quarterly Briefing where associated at Bath and Body Works gets the low-down on how sales are performing ect with the brand. They also hand out awards to associates who perform well - called the Reflection Award. Contracted people cant go - me, Im a contract freelance graphic designer - for the past 3 years. No sweat for me not being able to go, it gives me more time to work!

Well we had our dept touchbase that afternoon and what a surprise! The directors and my senior designer (Julie) decided to create a "Contractor Reflection Award" and I was the 1st reciepant! It was soooo sweet. Julie had a speech talking about what I do to contribute, my dedication, blah blah blah (not to mention organize birthday parties for my co-workers). I got flowers, a giftcard to Easton mall and cupcakes. Brenda (my art director) teared up a little which made me. Oh and I got an ugly tiara thingy.

It was so special that they thought about doing that for me. I love what I do and I guess they see that.

PLUS today I get home and Danny brought me sunflowers! He is starting to spoil me with all these flowers lately but Im fine with that!

fresh paint

so if you know anything about danny and i, we love to do house stuff :) this weekend was no exception. i was inspired by a beach house in michigan city, IN and repainted our livingroom. Its so much brighter and feels so fresh in there - love it! we want to eventually redo the fireplace/mantle (flush to the wall with stainless) but until then, i primed and painted the old nasty tile with a metallic "gunmetal" color and it looks great!!!! here some pics!

Elizabeths Bachlorette Weekend!

Last weekend I drove to Michigan City, Indiana to the Noonans (dannys cousins) new Lake house! Holy Smokes - was it amazing...a flat screen in every room (plus in a hall), 4 stories with an elevator! It was really something. Cant wait to go back!

The lake was so spectacular. I had no idea that the sand was soft and the lake crystal clear. It was like being on the ocean but with fresh water and no jellyfish to worry about.

View from our bedroom balcony (4th floor)

The walk from their back patio to the water.

Friday night:
Elizabeth got her surprise cake (made from some ladies that have a cake show on TLC.)

I made some extra special cookies for the event too - in both pink and black!!

Then flip cup time!

Our team won!

Then topped the night off with a dance-off! Kiki won dang it...

Saturday Morning:
We walked to another beautiful home that the girls rented. There were 26 girls so 1/2 stayed at the Noonans and the others stayed there. They made breakfast for all of us.

The little beach town was so cute.

The afternoon was spent at the beach - we played some Penis Ring Toss in the water (gee I wonder who brought that?)

Then she opened her gifts and thats when my camera died! It was dropped Friday night (not the 1st time but I guess its last). It survived BUT Saturday night it shit the bed right as our party bus showed up to take us to some bars!!! It was like the rock of love tour bus - lights, music, stripper pole! We 1st stopped at the Stray Dog. Live music, Elizabeth got a few lap dances, and lots of booze. Then we took the bus to a casino for another live band, some of us falling off the stage, and more fun I wont mention.

My new cousins. (the middle 3 are the Noonans).

Hall of Fame Weekend

The in-laws came to town last Tuesday! We spend Wed night at Schimdts Sausage Haus in German Village - mom, dad, judy, chris, jason, christy and us went. They had a live polka band so made it hard to hear but was a great time.
Thursday afternoon we flew to NYC for a layover - we had a great view of the city!

Leaving NYC to Syracuse, we flew over the new Yankee Stadium where they were playing my boys - the red sox. I did wear my jesery at the bar at the airport and surprisingly, no fights.
We stayed with cousins Vinnie and Andrea - wouldnt you know, they put danny and I in the Yankee shirne room. Wow - they had a ton of stuff. Nothing like changing clothes in front of a few dozen Derek Jeters and Babe Ruths.

Friday we drove to Cooperstown! OK, we have a million pictures so Ill spare ya.

Of course danny had to test he speed. He actually ended up with 79!

Yes, I had to try and got 54 - the ladies high for the day!
And yes, we had to hit the batting cages.

Schillings bloody sock from 04 was my highlight!

I ended up having poison ivy on the trip! We wrapped my wrists and I looked like a cutter...not funny but it kinda was :)
Saturday was a trip to Syracuse U and the bar to watch the sox/yankees.

Sunday we had a great day at cousin Mary Jo's. The whole family came. Besides the rain, it was a great time.

Thanks for letting us stay Andrea and Vinnie - had a super time.
We missed our connecting flight in DC!!!! So we had to spend the night. Might as well hit the hotel bar right!
A day late, but we made it home.
