Last Thursday we headed south for my cousin Jessica's wedding in Savannah! I love that place so was looking forward to it but the drive down wasn't very fun!! In WV I said "did you grabbed our clothes for the wedding?" whoops! they were hanging in the doorway..strike 1. About 1 hour later we were stuck in 2.5 hours at a standstill in a blizzard...strike 2. Finally we get to north Charlotte, NC at 11:15pm, we stop at 5 hotels-booked! We go to the next exit...all booked! Strike 3! Well we decide to go to south Charlotte and what do you know...an accident at 11:45 -standstill for 30 mins! Strike 4....ya that's not even possible. We all have to exit and thank goodness a nice hotel that's NOT booked is there :)
But after that, the rest of the trip was wonderful!!! The rehersal dinner friday night was at the marina on the island my grandparents and aunt live on. Was very nice. They even had a private trolly from downtown savannah to the venue so jack got to ride it (Riley and I drove ;). After hitting the mall on Saturday we had a super time at the wedding...was gorgeous!
Sunday we went to the GA railway museum then drive 1 hour to Hilton head. The condo was perfect! First flood, patio, 2 bedrooms, In a great gated community on the beach with a wonderful family friendly pool. We had bikes delivered to the condo so didn't need the car at all - we biked everywhere! So much fun. We are totally going back!!!
