vday 09

Well vday started off just great - I made danny heart shaped pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream (which I got more batter on me than in the pan). We decided that we would only spend $40 on each other this year - well with him getting me a car last year we had to set limits!).

I got danny tickets to the Sox in Detroit and his cousins are coming from Chicago - then we are staying at the casino there - more than $40 but heck, I havent spent it yet!

So from Danny - he made me stay in the bedroom and he said you cant leave for 8 mins and handed me a envelope. Then i heard him him leave in the car. i had to go all around the house getting Transformer Vday cards with clues, the last one which said meet me at the place we got married - so i drove over and danny was on the raised platform with a rose. then we had lunch in the park and fed the ducks (colleen also fed the ducks day - awesome except it was probably 30 degrees colder here!)

it was kinda cold though. then we walked around and he stopped at the nail place and he had a mani/pedi apt for me! so i got super pampered for 3 hours! after that came home and we headed to BRIO all dressed up. i had a giftcard from a packaging vendor from the holidays so we used that. we stayed for 3.5 hours drinking and eating - score.

Came home and CRASHED.

Oh and he got us tickets to the Clippers minor league game on my Bday! Its the 30 so saturday night we are having a big 80's Danny/Margaux 30 party BUT Friday night at the ballpark is perfect.

Adult Snow Day

Well it dumped ICE from the sky last night - not snow. It was really bad this morning (thank goodness I burned a disc of work yesterday :) Here are some shots of the "beautiful" weather in the backyard - mind you its "beautiful" when you dont have to go anywhere....

sledding - well kind of

the weatherman said 5"....more like 1" plus freezing rain. but before i realized we werent getting a winter storm, i got a sled. today i was determined to try. the hill on the side of our house really didnt work but i got my fix. danny took some video (attached) - and i ended up in the brush before the creek....better than in the creek!

2009 will be fine...

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!! hope everyone spent the last day of the year with family & friends. we went to jessi & josh's for some lo-key fun. we spent the night - so no drinking & driving. today was relax on the couch day then went to moms for a New Years dinner. time for bed!

i helped my buddy Debi with her baby's room - little Grace! Debi's husband Justin & Danny went to the Steelers game so got to do baby stuff!

Debi wanted a princess look BUT not scream princess. we went to jo-anns and got some sheer stuff and lots of ribbon. We also got the G R A C E letters, painted them white and put pink polka dots on them! way cute. they painted the room pale yellow with cherry furniture and the cutest pink/yellow animal/polka dot bedding with matching lamp and things. this really tied the room together.

We put the sheers also over a window on the other side of the room. anyhoo - not being a girly girl, i still think its cute - mission accomplished. ** click the pics to see them better PLUS the pics are off the blackberry so not that great **

a corrigan christmas

we had a great holiday this year. we had a super time at my moms annual xmas eve party. christmas morning we opened our gifts, then the brothers and mom came over for breakfast and more gifts. then as always, we head to my dads so again more gifts (hey im not complaining....) and dinner. we got cash from my dad instead of presents so can you say new flatscreen for the livingroom - heck ya! lots of food this year....that new wii fit is going to come in handy.

we hope our friends had a great holiday with their friends and family too!!! 2009 is around the corner.....
